govts stealing from constituents, then bribe electorates, and then forcing electorates to buy cars from govt-owned car companies can be made more efficient by the govt simply handing out printed money with which folks can buy from whomever :0)

Great to see this term being discussed.

Another feature of rent-seeking is that the "seekers" add nothing to the economy or society. They only take.

Excellent example is the health insurance "industry" in the US.
