Above the $167 mil in cash & investments, CYMI has another $22 mil in l-t investments, where they have invested this money because they see no need to use it operationally and they can get a higher yield. That makes a total of ~$190 million of free cash available to invest in the business or to institute a 1 million share buyback. Last quarter was the last phase of production rampup with large concomitant capital investment requirements and they only used $19 million of cash. (Start cash $30 plus $172 financing proceeds plus $7 net earnings less end cash $190 million). Remember my little writeup about the "street gunslingers", with bloodshot eyes from staring at quotes on computer screens for so long, and what will happen when the first time "SIZE TO BUY" shows up on the institutional trading desk screens. POW...POW. She ratchets up a ten step. That's what will happen at the mere sniff of a share buyback. I think every shareholder in CYMI should e-mail, call or send a letter to Akins asking the Board to move forward on their plans in this regard. This may begin anyways because of the 35% of thin float excess short interest alarm. The huge naked exposed short interest in CYMI that has misjudged the strong underlying fundamentals will be kind of like the rats in that laboratory experiment where the rat is in the bell jar and they start to pump the air out.
