That would make it a $2.50 stock wouldn't it ?

It's not the price Jenny, it's the capitalization.

While I understand that emotions are difficult to suppress when one has lost money, emotional investing is a risky business.

It may be that some of these "newcomers" are not short the stock but interested in picking up some shares even cheaper than it is.
