<Claiming to know what reality is, and then excoriating those who claim to know what reality is.>

Of course I know what MY reality is... I think you meant "truth"?

It's pretty basic that each person's reality is different... and any assertion I (or anyone) can make is simply their assertion/opinion/whatever. I'm not claiming that as an 'absolute truth' (never have), it's my subjective reality of course... I certainly see you think differently, you actually think when you make a statement like "the three pillars of evolution are crumbling" or some such thing you ACTUALLY BELIEVE YOU KNOW THE TRUTH of the situation... I get it. I DONT believe it, further when I reply that evolution is "obvious, everything evolves"... that's my truth, my subjective reality... not some universal truth. We all base our opinions on observations (self or others) and information we have gathered... so how could I have possibly gathered all possible information? Actually, there is not ONE scientific theory, that I know of that hasn't been adjusted/upgraded/changed over time... so it seems pretty plane so far none of them have absolute truth. But this is normal, when they figure out "random mutation" isn't the "cause" of evolution, it's not the end of evolution... it's an upgrade to the theory.... nothing new here.

Anyway, using your system:

1.) practically every time someone made an assertion he'd have to qualify it as such... kind of silly... especially when you realize EVERY statement is really just an assertion/opinion/whatever made by that person for a situation he has in mind (and may or may not have enunciated it).

OR

2.) You actually think you can utter/write words that are reality for you AND everyone else you're making them to... here on SI EVERYONE... In other words you think your statements are ultimate/universal truths. Therefore he'd (you'd) only qualify the ones where he (you) wasnt sure.

You know "Greg or e", you should really ponder this deeply, as realizing that anything written or spoken by everyone (people, we'll leave God out... as I did originally) is of limited context/scope... really just that persons subjective 'opinion' if you will. Understanding that people are only capable of subjective opinion is a fantastic doorway to compassion.

Once you get into that mindset you wont take things so seriously.
