the thing burns something like 200 gallons of fuel/hour. Not to mention the oil that they go through. They have to bring five gallon cans of it along with them. I got a short gig in the bombardier seat on my flight, during which I flew over the building where I worked. Oops... ...My Dad was navigator bombardier on the Marine Corps PBJ, which is the Marine's designation for the B-25 Mitchell. It must have been some ride. Probably about like riding a Harley up the Lochsa.
