That's one I missed, I thought this one was clear enough: Message 24647945 Hell, honestly, if the few bombs that Weather Underground had set had gotten us out of Vietnam 50,000 American lives and millions of Vietnamese lives earlier, I'd probably have viewed them favorably.

Therefore, he doesn't support his actions. "but I think it's clear that Z sympathizes with Ayers' motives, if not the means by which he tried to achieve them." Well, du-uh! Are you making the claim it was bad to oppose the war? Which was Ayers' motives. His means, the planting of bombs, was his major failing.
