3. Comparing the government option to the Post Office is exactly what opponents of Obamacare have been doing. The Post Office gives mediocre service and is losing $7 Billion this year. So why is Obama doing it?

The same day Obama remarked that we have to reform healthcare because Medicare will run out of money soon. Why does he make such asinine comparisons? If the feds can't cover people over 65 without breaking the Treasury, why does he think covering all 300 million Americans wouldn't break the country?

Thanks, Nadine, all good points. Now, another question: If Mr. Obama is successful in making private insurance companies accept people with pre-existing conditions, won't that change those companies from insurance companies to welfare companies? Looks like a plan guaranteed to drive them out of business.
