I think all Americans should be limited to four guns. A main pistol and a backup, a rifle and a shotgun. No American needs more than that, for any legitimate purpose

Just to cover basic hunting and defense you need a dozen or more, then depending on local weather you need sunny day and rainy day versions in blue or stainless steel. Of course if you collect anything historical - there's another dozen or more just to cover US military historical firearms likes the .45, Garrand, .30 carbine, springfield, Krag and then back to the springfield trapdoor. Then there's black powder guns to consider to either hunt with or collect.

I think all Americans should be required to own at least four guns.
