Re -- These guys know or at least SHOULD know the effect their information has (had) on the market, they better make damn sure they have their information correct before they put it on the air.

You can have 2 choices. A little Inaccurate information in real time, or 100% delayed accurate information 2 weeks from when it happens.

In this situation, most people would prefer the slightly inaccurate info in real time. Its the recepeints of the information (you and me) to understand that its real time information (in fact when Bruce Francis mention that it was a "HUGE BUY BACK", I doubted it, the adjectives did not fit), to determine its validity.

In fact the whole market moves on grossly inaccurate information such as GDP reports, trade deficit etc.. which are later corrected (The reason being slightly wrong information now, is better than perfect info later). In that case the whole Govt should be fired (which may be a good idea).

Re -- it moved 3 points on the information.

That's your reason. It may or may not have moved anyway (can you prove it with 100% accuracy?).
