We're seeing plenty of this already, with companies already upping guidance based on falsified data(green shoots out the wazoo) being given by the same sources that we're being overly optimistic on the way down.

How dumb can they be? If the cited experts got it totally wrong on the way down and are as reliable as a chimpanzee's algebra test results, why would they continue to plan based on skewed and biased data?
