I know exactly what you mean. And I am not talking about just SUNW, my portfolio as a whole has gone down by as much as 25% since just last week, and in fact another 10% drop (which can easily happen with the current market in a matter of couple of hours) and I will be showing loss for the entire year!! But take my word, this is a very short lived situation. As long as you are not buying on margin, dont let the momentary decline bother you. In the 12-13 years I have been investing in the equities if I have not learned anything, the one thing I've learned is that: Fear is short lived while greed lasts much much longer! Take advantage of fear in order to gain from the greed later!

As for SUNW, nothing has changed since the time the stock was in the $53 range only a few short weeks ago. you can mark this post and come back to it next February/March (about 6 months from now) and I promise you would say to yourself: "Gee... I wished I had more money to buy more of SUNW shares when it was in the 30's or $40's' or perhaps low 50's for that matter".

For now just think of the money you have invested in SUNW as having been deposited in a 6 month CD that you can not touch (or else you end up paying penalty for it)! Come back in 6 months and then after seeing SUNW in the mid to high 50's-low 60's, decide how you would like to characterize your current deepression over the price of SUNW at this time!

Addi Jamshidi

Zeeshan,

Be patient. I have had stocks that required months to come back from a dip. Consider COMS once at 80 then tumbling to 25, AOL dropping to 25, KLAC dropping to 19, CSCO dropping to 46... and so many more. Technology will drive the market. There is tremendous growth available for all companies. SUNW is a billion dollar company. How the stock temporarily behaves in a volatile market does not reflect on SUNWs market potential. You have some bright people at SUNW and they will negotiate the future hurdles and lead the comany in this time of change. I bought SUNW at 32, and earlier in the year watched it drop to the mid 20s. Correct. It's not fun to see your profits erode and go negative. If you felt good about SUNW in the 40s... consider SUNW in the lows 30s as a great time to buy more.

I for one have lost a bit this week. I bought MOT at 85 and some INTC at 100. Hold on and wait... that's what investing is all about.
