As long as they need it <g>, and well if we approach the latter part of the "W" formation that could take awhile.

With retail products pegged to the CPI springing out left and right, the CPI figure could be rigged as well in order to avoid any payouts.

The market must be very one-sided in this part. I used to bet on midterm Libor rates and had very temporary gains which were so far always massaged away in few days or weeks.
