Not so convinced on the W bottom. The V in the Fall is not nearly so deep as in March. Another interpretation: an inverted head and shoulders if you throw in the July correction. If that is the case, we have recently broken the neckline to the upside.

You've got to take into account the toxic stuff still being marked by guys on crack and opium. It hasn't moved much. P-PIP isn't happening allegedly because the legal documents can't be agreed upon.

If you believe that.....

The legal documents angle is male bovine manure designed to hide the fact that once P-PIP starts, the guy on opium marking the stuff per his dreams gets his pipe taken away. The P-PIP business was asinine....anything that makes the toxic stuff marked per market value won't work, and it's the reason Paulson played 3-card monte at the start of all of this. Remember the switcheraroo?

Yes, the big banks are back-stopped, but there are lots of mid-sized regional and smaller banks going bust on CRE. Oh, yes, indeed, there is systemic risk out there. Or if not, certainly enough financial and RE risk to choke a mule. Or kill off a bear market rally.
