Doesn't matter if rumor is silly or not. CPQ was hurt by association. Dell has not announced yet.

I agree, that if there is sell off rom Dell, those wanting a good cumputer stock could migrate to CPQ (assuming no problems on the horizon). However, I suspect most would either ride it out or get out of this industry (for now).

DELL will report its earnings in the 3/4th week of November. Someone
who does not like PC sector must have started this rumor. DELL, all
along have been saying that they are doing great and it is one of their
strongest quarters.(3rd and 4th qtrs). Things should turn back to normal
and both CPQ and DELL will start thier upward movements tomorrow.
