as Cheney said, "Proved deficits don't matter". I know that is one of your all time favorite quotes and you dispense it freely as proof of fiscal mismanagement from the right. Perhaps you forget all the "drastic cuts" bullshit rhetoric from the left when simple and benign reductions in spending growth was attempted in the 90s. Any real attempts at budget management went out the window at that particular point. Baseline budgeting is the biggest cancer in government and any proponent of it should be escorted out of office on a rail. Government is broken and anyone wishing to add to it, quite frankly has a retarded point of view.
