In the highest levels of the Obama administration there is a theory of how to ration health care that is troublingly reminiscent of the British system of "quality-adjusted life years."

Beck's show, which I heard last night in my car on Sirius, focused on this. Very scary. I believe they rebroadcast on Sunday and suggest watching.

I was not aware that Beck has a daughter severely disabled with cerebral palsy. Under the "quality adjusted life years" formula, she'd probably be written off by the Washington bureaucrats.

Who would take a loved one to a doc who says the hippocratic oath is taken too seriously?

A thought about Ezekiel Emanuel, Obama's advisor.

If we wouldn't take our children to a guy who thinks this way, why should we support a health plan he's advised and is supporting? Its about trust.

We know health reform isn't about the uninsured or saving money because they could buy all the uninsured health policies for a fraction of what they plan to spend. So we know they're lying to us. Its about control and power and reordering society the way they would like it to be.
