oh, DD, that is so sad! My brother lost his oldest cat, Baby, who was 18, two weeks ago. It really is hard. He is now down from five cats four years ago to one cat, Bing, who is 12, and the death of each one brought tears.

Did you mean KC died in a tragic way, or just that his loss feels tragic to you as a family? I hope it was just a peaceful old age passing, as Baby's was. She weighted twenty pounds (all in her stomach) and could hardly move from arthritis. It was her time.

We never managed to keep a cat longer than four years. They probably have our name on a 'Do Not Place With This Family' list.

Thoughts to you and yours on the loss. I am nursing a 14 year old cat right now... it's difficult to realize the time is near. 15 years is a long time to have a close friend who is then gone from us.

So sorry about your loss. I hope you and KC are reunited in heaven.

If my cats are not going to heaven, I may go elsewhere!
