AOL has never operated that way. Never "guidance" about bad news.
Never pre-announcement, etc.

AOL out since 11:30 am. (Still is to large extent, esp. e-mail) Amazing that by late PM trading most didn't notice. i.e. if they had, AOL would have dropped big. Tends to illustrate that most of the big players in AOL stock don't use it.......
