social views, which I rejected, but because of his grasp of effective insurgent strategies

I agree with you. If conservatives are going to prevail, they have to have some grasp of Alinksy's rules.

My version of that sentiment is that conservatives must capture the imaginations of poets, painters, musicians, and other artists. It's common for creative people to take left-wing positions, but they can be our friend if they understand the truth of what we're saying.

We'll have to particularly be aware of Rule #8 ....will it be the bait and switch game from the WH and Congress, or will it be hurry up and ram this thing through before anyone has a minute to read it?

Interesting to read those rules again and see just what has happened in the last 8 months!

I actually like this rule as applied to liberals, and especially the Obama administration.

Opponents of national health care do not propose "irrelevant arguments", in fact they are very relevant, but they achieve the same results. They scare the heck out of our dear leader and his handlers, and have left them dumbfounded.

RULE 3: "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy." Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)
