" What I am driving at is that those of you well off will not be able to go to the head of the line under this new healthcare plan, just because you have money, as no physician will be willing to go against the law to treat you."

That was probably the case at the time. The only way he could charge his $2500 fee was if he accepted no Medicare patients at all, which some doctors did. That feature had me so turned off on Medicare that I studied it thoroughly to see how I could avoid enrolling. But it is no longer the case. Private agreements with patients are now legal. And many still simply don't accept Medicare patients.

some of his assumptions about
the new bill are incorrect.

I think so, too.

"For those of you who are over 65, this bill in its present form might be lethal for you. People in England over 59 cannot receive stents for their coronary arteries. The government wants to mimic the British plan. "

Any idea why the fearmongerers and storytellers shoot themselves in the foot with these comparisons to the Brits, who live longer and healthier lives than us while under care of the UK's socialized..er, "lethal" plans?

Did you see how that font of disinformation, IBD tried to say that Stephen Hawking would die in the British system and how he responded by saying that in fact, he receives his care there and wouldn't be alive except for it?

Thanks for bringing clarity to the "debate" about the government option.
