The administration never set out to "fix" the problems in health care. That simply wasn't the objective. The objective was to force more government into it, which is not something the people want when they get an objective look at things. So, they obscured any objective analysis with emotional attacks.

I don't think that's fair. I think that their intent is to fix it. They just have their own ideas about what that entails. I am confident that they believe that introducing more government is part of the fix. Whether that belief is stands to reason is something else again.

So, they obscured any objective analysis with emotional attacks.

Emotional attacks are what's available when you don't have a supportable argument. They tend to work because people tend to be emotional. It's a whole lot easier than thinking. Both sides have used them.
