How naive! Not naive. The liberals I know are sincere in wanting what's best for the people. They are simply mistaken, IMO, about what the best course of action is. I guess you never heard of Alinsky? Do you really think that community organizers do what they do to intentionally undermine the people for whom they serve as champion? That's ridiculous. They do it because they believe it's best for the people. Sure, there are charlatans in every crowd but by and large they sincerely think what they are doing is best. At the very least they started out that way.
