In fact, the Blue Dog Senator who is in favor of co-ops does not realize that these co-ops have a higher potential to take our health care services to the feared level of poor services such as in Canada and Britain. However, the proponents of "Keep Govt. out" seem to think otherwise.

National health is a security issue and is our right. It cannot be entrusted to the whims, fancies and profit motive of private groups. Our health is not something for others to play around with. We need to take control of our health care through our elected reps instead.

I am watching the effects of the rial balloon that the WH has floated. If Obama thinks he has no support in the Senate because just one Dem. Sen. Kent Conrad will not support the bill in its present form, then he will probably lose support of about 80 folks in the House. Instead he needs to work with Sen. Conrad and his constituents to make sure that he votes for the bill with the public option included. Now that is how I feel.

But on this thread, I post how I think the politics is playing out, how the press is viewing issues etc. etc.
