I'd love to see Obama start saying that healthcare reform will be a constant process in his presidency, and he won't stop until he gets the best care he can for everyone.

Good thought. But he has to worry about the non policy money based politics of it all. He has to find a way to make the money from the healthcare industry less relevant to legislators.

If I were in the admin, I would argue they start pursuing, as aggressively as their depleted resources permit right now, public financing for national elections--presidential, senatorial, and representatives.

Two purposes: use as leverage against the interests of big money in all these policy areas; and start a public conversation that will take several years to bring to fruition. Build a movement around the notion that the major impediment to good public policy is the way we finance elections.
