Good to hear that you are doing well after the surgery. I see the care that my parents get with Medicare and am convinced that a single payor option like Medicare is the way to go. However, Obama and his team goofed on this one and allowed the insurance companies to get the upper hand "for now". I don't think people like me or even Obama is abandoning the public option. We just have to fight the politics in order to prevail. I am predicting that in the end Obama would tell Dem congress folks to keep the public option in and then decide to fight the cloture in the Senate. Let those Senators wheel in their beds in the Senate. I am all for a "battle royal" on this issue because a reform with no public option is like "fat free milk."
