What subsidies are you referring to?

(PS --- ALL major forms of energy production receive 'subsidies' and tax preferences of one sort or another. So, you could make *exactly the same* point about ANY form of energy: "If its so profitable even without subsides, why have all the subsidies?")

The point I was making about wind-produced electricity though was that (properly sited) the cost of it's produced electricity is ALREADY extremely cost competitive with all others. Often it is even cheaper then 'conventional' sources. (And that is true *exclusive* of all tax subsidies on BOTH sides of the equation as well.)

However, wind is not suitable for baseline energy of course.
