What is clear is that the public option is dead. Buried. Gone.

You need only look at Obama's approval ratings to see this.

This is, of course, a lie. What else are they going to say? "We failed"? No.

There is a reason that everyone from Krauthammer to Matthews is talking about this today. They backed away totally from the demand for a public option because they have been advised that the votes simply aren't there.

The "liberals" are marginalized. They are not representative of the country, as these liberal Democrats found out over the last couple of weeks. Did you attend any of the townhalls? 700 people showed up for Mike Ross on Friday, all civilized, but all making it clear - we don't want this liberal crap. This is from a state that is consistently amongst the most liberal in the South.

I know you think chanting the Obama mantra will save it, but it is history. The simple truth is that the Ds are scared shitless of the majority who don't want this crap. If they try to pull a fast one, they will land themselves on sidelines in 2010.
