The statement of yours in question did, indeed, have a typo as there are two complete sentences separated by a comma. Should have been a period. Or perhaps one clause was intended to be subordinate but you left out the connecting words. Either way, how in the world does your "error" escalate to "lies" on my part? So hostile. You took that statement out of context. If you posted the entire sentence it would be clear that I left out the word not, as in. They did believe that COMMUNISM was not* good for the people, Lenin called COMMUNISM and propaganda a tool.*
