SoT, I have no idea how that relates to what I wrote, nor what you think is untrue in what I wrote. Perhaps you were responding to a different post than the one to which you linked.

thanks for that piece of information. Example of Germany. in the old days it worlked like that:

As the guy got about 30 to 35 years old he would need more money and he would get a better position.

Until this age, he was getting pay increases according to the union's agreement.

once he got about 30/35 he would become AT (aussertariflich). he was going to get marrie dor was married and started a family

so he became management. His salary was according to his performance. He'd get no overtime. He would buy shares of the company yearly cheaper. He would get company car and other perks. the guy worked like a lion. (It was the only time on his life that he was on par with Elmat who work perk or no perk)

Once he reached about 40/45 -which was when the the system backfired- he would had got everything that he had to get. Then motivation went to the floor.

But then he could not lose the benefits he had already got. nor could be fired. Thus he would become a wasserkopf. Wasserkopf is Hydrocephaly.

He had big ego, big postion but could not contribute. Thus he was by-passed most of the time since he was only creating probblems. He was parked there waiting to reach retirement while the next 32/35 were working their butt off on their way to ecome the next generation of wasserkopfs.

Then Globalization hit them and the system could no longer be sustainable and it collapsed. They had to start selling bit and pieces of the company since in Germany it is easy to close down the company than to fire people.

it is as this point that emerging markets started getting their capital
