When I put in a SELL at 31 for my last set of trading shares this afternoon, I got the following message:

You are overcommitted by 3100 shares in your accounrt. Since the security being traded is not in your portfolio records, it will not appear in your Tax Records unless you enter it yourself.

Luckily ETRADE's head office is close by, so I scooted over and asked them what was up. Oh that's nothing, they said, its just a program bug.
