Options explained... you are correct, except that you can exercise or sell the option at any time prior to the date - which in the third Friday of the month - in this case Nov 22nd. >Never have bought a call option. What are they.? Sounds like a >premium paid to force someone to sell you Apple shares at $22.5 each >on the last trading day in November?, is that right. So if Oracle >takes over at $30 you make around 60:1 on your money. BTW, I think the synergy around NC's for AAPL/ORCL (with Knowledge Universe?!) is absolutely incredible for all concerned ... I'll post a full opinion later if anyone is interested.
