Thanks Karun!-You are right it is a terrible thing to give up money this way!-I really am shook over it.
On a more positive note, I met Dom today at the daytrading firm. He seems like a really nice guy and we both decided to give these guys a try!-Good to meet you Dom!
I did not see Jerry's post till after I opened an account with them. They do have access to your home via dedicated lines so I won't have to drive there every morning at 5 am!-You do not have to daytrade to use these guys. You can position trade like I have been doing.They do not do options.-they charge 18 bucks a trade and you have almost instant confirmation!-level 2 screens and fully customizable tickers so I can still run our big 10 or 11 indicator stocks!

SEC will also provide a free and complete list of all such complaints in recent years (two?) and how resolved or not. I asked for this on my last two brokers. It was comforting to see how few complaints and how quickly they were resolved with my current broker, Brown & Co. The settlements are public record and interesting reading.
