Obama made a serious tactical and strategic mistake not proposing a single healthcare program then letting Congress work on it instead of vice versa. He is losing on the communications front and on the substance he wanted. Toss in a third grievous error thinking it had to happen fast or not at all. Clearly, we will now have a gradual process that will deliver part of what Obama wanted by Christmas. Sooner or later all new presidents overreach. Obama got his in earlier than most.
