Curlton: I finally found that old post:

exchange2000.com

.....Here are some of my concerns.

1) In X years down the road, when home ADSL units are sold at CompUSA... and you have a Westell modem sitting beside a COMS modem on the store shelf, which modem are you going to purchase?

2) I see Westell sharing profits on the DLC side with Lucent, DSC, and AFC and now sharing profits on the customer modem side with COMS. This is a big market, but Westell seems to be sharing the profits on both ends now.

3) Did anyone notice the release version of the Westell DSLAM which will be released in 1Q98.... Version 1.0. Isn't a 1.0 usually the first release of a production product? What release is out in the field today... Version 0.5? I don't think of a 0.5 release is a production mass deployment product.... I could be wrong on this one. Lets take this one step forward.... what is Westell going to sell to BC and BT a V 0.5 release?... contracts may be signed, but will deployments start with a pre-V1.0 DSLAM device?

4) How does a Westell/COMS partnership work... if COMS builds the Westell solution into it's products, does Westell get a few $$ for every device sold? Westell is letting COMS into a 40 million customer region, they should be able to work a good deal.... I hope... until later.
