Ed, The Warrne Buffet Op Ed yesterday affirmed everything I have been saying. The truth will set us free when some politician says we are broke as a nation and there are no simple fixes for the problem. The problem cannot be solved by taxing the top 2% and giving the welfare state to everyone else. The problem cannot be solved by tax cuts. When some politician is ready to have an honest talk about the fiscal problems of this country and that there will have to be hard decisions made that will impact everyone we will get somewhere. Until then - there is no change anyone can believe in. As for civil discourse. I try to restrain from wild eyed stuff that would get me banned. I watch stuff like you post and wait to see if there is ever any admonitions. I do enjoy when a poster reveals his/her true inner character. I think some would simply prefer a hate Bush thread than a discussion of issues in 2009. Bob
