We need free market type reforms. Allowing many more types of policies. Limiting pain and suffering awards.

The current 'free market' is what got us in this mess. If you took the employer completely out of the picture and changed health care from an 'employment benefit' to something you had to pay for then yeah... the free market might work. So where is the politician that's going to propose that everybody in the country give up their company paid health insurance 'benefit'?

Limiting pain and suffering awards

That sounds more like regulation than "free market type reforms".
