Yes and we darn well better address that cost rather than throw out scare tactics of pulling the plug on granny. Every fruitcake conservative that uses that bogus argument is forever on my do not vote for list.

According to Newsweek last year (or so) but bulk of that is actually in the last few weeks. One big transformation our society can make is to let go of the idea that everything medically possible must be done even if the gain is nearly zero and the cost is a thousand children not getting their basic care.
