Yep. I think so. UNG was taken to the cleaners by regulators,
so NG tanked. UNG became close end.

It has long puzzled me as to why Lehman caused a crash, while
the CDS settlements were minor. I think I found an answer - it was
not really Lehman, it was the Fed, while Lehman was a scapegoat.
On the surface the Fed was easing and could not be blamed.
While the answer is still a working hypothesis, I think it might be
correct. The Fed is well aware of the tightening effect of reserve
buildup. Posted earlier. Sure, this was a major operation that orchestrated
a short squeeze in the dollar and a market crash. Now we are pretty
much back on track with the gradual dollar drop.

FNM/FRE BK sure threatened an avalanche of foreign
selling, which is why they were taken over and their
obligations were guaranteed by the government. The
operation had the goal of stalling the dollar crash,
they knew how much selling of MBS and agency bonds
that BK generated. Naturally, a carry trade squeeze
quickly spread to other markets, which may not have been
their intension -g-
