>> Sorry man I don't remember you complaining about the cost of the war AT ALL.

WHY WOULD ANYONE EVER COMPLAIN ABOUT THE COST OF A WAR???

Even if you are opposed to a war, once the country commits to it, funding should never even be a consideration. At all. You spend every nickel the country has, if necessary, for national defense.

This is just the dumbest argument I've ever seen.

What would you spend to insure the safety of your family? Would you spend your last nickel to defend your family against a known murderer? Of course you would.

U.S. Grant, in his memoir, obscurely notes that you cannot support the troops without also supporting the war effort. This, even, in the context of the Civil War. The remark certainly holds true when you're engaged in war against another nation.

In effect, those who do not support the Iraqi war effort are denigrating our troops, which to me is tantamount to treason. When the country goes to war anyone legitimately considered to be an American would see the treasury emptied to win it.

RW, > Now all you do is complain about government spending.

... says the guy who used to do nothing but complain about government spending until the Democrats took over.

Must be that projection thing. You're so good at it.
