Brian, don't remember if QCOM ever pre-warned on earnings outlook, neither positive nor negative. Last qtr, instead of "hyping" what they had accomplished, they tried to pull a MSFT by issuing cautionary statements so that the earning estimates wouldn't be revised through the roof. Well, if you had followed the stock long enough, they were killed for trying to play it cool. Nov 10 is year end. Expect them to talk about backlogs and more detailed progress on different components of their business. I have always find it very helpful to formulate my own forward QCOM investment strategy after the year end report. Ramsey
