Agreeing also with Ed, I think it would be best to give warnings: first offense gets a few days off, second double the amount; third, one is gone.

Vinter had 696 posts here; if he hadn't read the thread header and seen me yank other people's chains for similar offenses, to the extent of using the same language about being personal rather than issue-oriented, it's no longer my problem. What part of this thread's conduct the last 4 years and 119,000 posts indicates that it's kosher to toss around group label insults that cut off effective communication? After a while, I figure I'm not responsible for other people's lack of maturity or perceptiveness. And if I don't nip this stuff on the bud, the thread will resemble a large and rarely cleaned urinal.
