in surplus now, and with a small increase in payroll tax or an extension of the payroll limit it's fine for the calculable future..

There is no "surplus". Everyone who understands basic accounting knows this and most people don't even argue about it any longer.

I know it is hard for you but don't be an idiot.

When SS began, in 1937, the tax rate was 2%. Today, it stands at 15.3%. THE TAX HAS ALREADY INCREASED BY 700%. And you want to raise it again to get us by a few more years.

Can you not see this program is going to collapse eventually and take the country down with it?
