THere are a significant number of folks, including CNN commentators, who are holding out and advocating that on an issue like health care, everyone in DC should strive to come up with a bipartisan bill. This could be a ploy to put pressure on both parties. The Republicans are playing with fire when they are continuing to project themselves as "The Party of No".

My sense is that those who are continuing to hold the position that the bill should be a product of bipartisanship, will ultimately support the idea of going it alone when they feel that they have proved to the American people beyond reasonable doubt that the Republican party is not sincere on this issue and instead are representing vested interests instead of those of the American people.

It is not necessary to fan the flames by proclaiming a victory of any political ideology. It would suffice to say that there are two sides on this debate now, those that are sensible folks who care for the general welfare of the American people and those opposing who care for the general welfare of other vested interests.
