Ram this thing through once and for all.. The people elected him and his program. Republicans'role is to bitch and moan. I'm so sick of this crap coming out of the right, I'm beginning to agree with you. There is no sin in opposing progressive ideas. I often agree here - but what is unacceptable to me is the tone of the lies and discourse coming from the Palins, Limbaughs and DeLays. Is there no leader in this party any longer? steve

Well I guess I will at least reply. I'm not the type to bitch, have used a pitchfork once. When it is legal for two out of three to vote to steal from the third - all is lost because the working third will not work but just enough to get by, maybe a little on the side for cash! Our nation was not founded on the above idea(robbery), but the courts have taken more and more of our property rights away and seem to approve of stealing. If people find they don't have to work, they will not, it is as simple as that.Since they don't plan to work, why get an education or train for anything? If, or maybe I should say when they begin to starve, they will consider work, but likely not before they consider stealing bread from the guy next door. ( please may he shoot them?) If people don't work, and in this case lately, borrow for a living and beg from the government, who wants to buy their vote anyway,there will be less and less people that are producers, tax rates will have to be raised (yeah, that is next after health care, yeah I've heard the promise!)and the economy futher slowed. I guess they will keeping borrowing and printing until they ruin the dollar and destroy all savings. (read all capitial is destroyed so no new production can take place until someone works enough to make a living and saves some.) But why save during the comming inflation? But along the way, since raising taxes will not be enough, they will force any savings into government bonds, take all industry (all means of production, just like gm and the banks) Take farms etc until nothing is left but what is in ones homes. Of course they will try to take all the guns, gold and silver and anything else of value and this is likely when they will need their storm troopers to invade the homes. It will be a land of price controls (read shortages), black markets, and everyone will have to break laws just to eat, so government will send their storm troopers to pick up anybody at any time. Well I don't think you believe any of this, but some of use do. We want less government, a whole lot less. I want only the people paying the taxes to decide how the tax money is spent! No I don't expect smaller government for a while, only failure, defailt and maybe war will bring it about. Bet the next dollar is based on something of value, not "Full Faith and Credit" The haven't earned any credit or faith. the FED has destroyed the dollar - part of their charter was to PROTECT THE VALUE OF THE DOLLAR! Read the book "Full Faith and Credit) by James Cook - might be just a small look of things to come. In the mean time this beast of a government will do anything to keep itself in power (both parties - because even the right get pulled into the welfare camp to win votes). Death panels will be the least of it if we don't get this thing turned around. Yeah, health care will be rationed and everything else! Rationed from a smaller and smaller pie. The way to go is make a larger pie. Give those that work (yes some for the widows and orphans) a fair share, put the banksters in jail or hang them and let the non workers starve. David

Republicans have a history of opposing any progressive legislation God bless'm for that at least. "Progessivism" is a steaming turd packaged in a deceptive term. It is the antitheses of the ideas America was founded on, maximum practical liberty for the individual. Where statism gains advantage, stagnation is the happiest possible result. Where freedom has prevailed in different places and times, human progress is greatly enhanced. Our educational establishment has long conspired to make sure more are part of The Numb, unable to recognize simple truths.
