Actually many public corporations were saved at least temporarily by the combination of gov't stimulus, lack of access to credit of their smaller private competitors, record low interest rates and the steep plunge in cost of goods sold due to plunging commodity prices the past year. So Peter like everyone in the free world (including mortals like us and yes even gods like Mish, Kudlow and Cramer) missed crucial pieces of the puzzle.
