"Do you ACTUALLY think the lower-level employees who make these decisions give a DAMN about profitability?"

Of course they don't. What they DO care about is their managers reviewing the decisions they make about policyholder's health care, and the statistics they generate, all of which are factors in their raises, advancements and continuing employment.

If they don't deny enough care and drop enough expensive losers, they get fired. If they deny less than the next guy, they don't get promoted, the next guy does. If they only deny the average amount, they get no raise. They know THAT!

> How do you feel about it when they deny someone an operation because it will hurt that profit?

Can you prove that happens on a routine basis?

Of course I can't. Even if I were in the inside of one of these companies..........do you honestly think they are going to leave a readable paper trail so that one can come to that conclusion? Seriously, are you really this naive......or it is it because you are so desperate to protect your livelihood?
