now the ex-wives can hunt up the funds from switzerland and hide it in ... panama.

the only tax cheaters i see at this distance in the usa is the irs/treasury-mob/congress complex.

bomb-proof accounts turned out to be not so proof after all.

lgt/liechtenstein, ubs/swiss security breaches will doubtlessly give rise to greenshoots of the industry that specializes in hiding stuff and numbers.

the rebellion has been hurt, rebels falling back to consolidate, but the empire's fate is not in doubt, because the cause is just, rebels righteous, goals noble, and intent honorable, some would say.

Dread, good for sales of tranquilizers.

A friend thought about doing a Swiss account several years back, not at UBS of course.

One of the smaller Cannonical banks.

The bank refused to set up the account unless he showed up in person... and we got the distinct impression that this was only necessary if you were a US person.

Later, the vibe became, not interested at all unless you are a Swiss resident.

So actually, since over seas accounts now somewhat of a target, perhaps they did him a favor.
