BC, i'm in faber's camp - i see deflation hitting first, then money printing to a degree few imagine and then the currency gets toasted.

however, i wonder if international goods might not fall due to our deflation. in essence, i wonder if gas might continue to go up even as america's economy deflates.

btw, i still recommend listening to investor's edge (patron originally suggested it).

the guy just watches the market and he's completely unemotional, as far as i can tell. he'll say earnings are trash, obama is screwing the nation, the debt will crush us, "but the market looks good!" he's been right, too.

he thinks the market is correctly predicting a turn around and i think the market is incorrectly predicting a turn around. but perceptions rule the day.

"he comes highly recommended" (if you listen, you'll get the joke) - and he helps keep a guy like me who sees the complete disconnect out of harms way (when i listen to him, i was killed when i ignored him).

i'm hoping for the SPX to ramp up as high as possible - it just means more downside when it the ignorati can't rely on just hope and hype anymore.
