skeeter, I tend to agree with everything you said. I think the core problem is a basic lack of morality (and I don't mean that in a religious sense). That leads people to being corrupt and taking advantage of others. Our basic morality is slowly sinking into a cesspool instead of slowly rising the way it did for thousands of years. We've lost our ability to objectively measure good vs. bad, moral vs. immoral, right vs. wrong, etc... because moral relativism became fashionable as a way of justifying all sorts of behaviors.
