There is no way anyone in the Adm currently would know one whit about small business and how to make it succeed. Most of them have had a golden ladle in their mouth from the gitgo and are lawyers on top of that. Most lawyers don't have the foggiest clue about how business actually works, most especially if they joined large established firms.

I'd have a lot more faith in them if they all were required to start a new little business, let's say a restaurant, and keep it in business for at least 5 years. Set it up, design the business and atmosphere they wish to create, design the menus, the bills, letterhead and all of that, then hire their staff, have to cope with all employee problems as well as the government mandates as far as employees are concerned, and at the same time have to actually buy the food and cook the meals. Then at night after they've closed, deal with all the government paper work for all the employees, payroll, and the taxes that the government shoves down the throats of small business. Oh and before they close the doors for the night, sweep the floors and clean up for the next day to do it all over again.

Every small business person has to know that they -- all by themselves -- are not only the chief cook and bottlewasher (so to speak) but they are the advertiser, marketer, manufacturer of goods, and the sales staff for their product.

Can any of us think of any in Congress today that could do any of that. and make a success of it?

I can't either.
